Little Known Fact About Me
I am a terrible procrastinator.
I Knew I Loved Yoga When
In my first Integral Yoga class in 1991 I felt what surrender meant and how that calmed the mind so deeply.
Why I Love Studio Be Yoga
There is a lot of space for a meditative attitude, for exploring different styles and approaches, and for finding your way in various poses. There is no rigidity, no hurry, and no required sequence. There is a genuine love and friendship amongst the students and teachers which I have come to cherish and look forward to.
Words That Best Describe My Classes
We will endeavor to stay fresh and interested, continually cycling through all types of poses and approaches to find our own best way. Through careful sequencing we can explore anything!
Greatest Influences
I think my greatest influence now is having had a living practice for about 18 years, resplendent with ups and downs, injuries and openings, revelations and boredom! But I am deeply grateful to sooooo many: my first yoga teacher who taught with such dedicated Grace, Manjula Judi Spears, my meditation teacher, Uma Laura Rose, and the service and teachings of Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi. I am influenced strongly by the teachings of BKS Iyengar and his teachers, by Richard Freeman and Ashtanga Yoga, by my Anusara teacher friends who have taught me so much, by my students who will try anything, and by fellow teachers who provide the best feedback and a listening ear.
