Favorite Asana
Sarvangasana (Shoulderstand). For the first nine years of yoga practice, my body was so bound up that it hurt to hold Sarvangasana for more than a minute. But the magic of yoga, including informed practice, patience, trust and grace, transformed my experience and now, I feel gratitude and love for this nurturing and soothing mother of all the asanas.

Little Known Fact About Me
I was once in the King’s Chamber of the Cheops pyramid with only three other people!  The acoustics were astounding and so I sang.  I felt like I was vibrating on the end of a tuning fork.

I Knew I Loved Yoga When
It restored me to health both after I contracted chronic fatigue and later, pleurisy.   I found that yoga gave me a profound sense of mystery, awe, aliveness and quietude.
