Favorite Asana
This one changes over time as my practice changes. Right now? All inversions, especially handstand (urdhva vrksasana). I love the strength of feeling my arms and hands healthy and able to support my body weight.
Little Known Fact About Me
I have a BS in chemical engineering and worked as an environmental consultant for years. I eventually sought another avenue of expression, another way to help the environment. This eventually led to being a yoga teacher. I figure I'm still helping the environment as healthy people who are at peace with themselves and others will make gentler, more responsible decisions that are more in harmony with the earth.

I Knew I Loved Yoga When
My love for yoga is still unfolding. My first crush happened when I'd get books and videos out of the local library, study and practice with them at night, then bring what I'dlearned to my aerobics classes the next day. Eventually, I stopped teaching aerobics because the yoga was so much more effective and more fun.
Words That Describe My Class
Trust yourself. Trust the principles of alignment. Trust the practice.
Why I Love Studio Be Yoga
I enjoy the physical space of the studio. Simple. Warm. Inviting. Lots of wall space. I appreciate the convenience of the location and the parking. There is a feeling of simplicity about teaching at Studio Be. Wendy sets the space for her teachers to be true to themselves.
Greatest Influences
Wow. This one is stumping me. Surely Sivananda Ashrams (my certification) and Glenn Black (Iyengar yogi whom I've spent many hours studying with) are big influences. My daughter,
Jasmine has taught me more about self-acceptance, love, and service than any other teacher.
